Want to come back next year to school looking super hot and rich? Here are some ideas.

Steps

Get the clothes. Shop at Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, Saks, Nordstrom and all the "in" stores. If you can't really afford it, just shop in the clearance sections. Clothes can be up to 75% off in all the above stores. Also check out their outlets, before shopping there, look for coupons for up to 25% off, because on top of the 25-90% off sales, you can add 25% off on top of that. Look for places such as Loehmann's, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and yes even Ross, but not for purses, but definitely check out their shoes. Look for big names such as bcbg, and france sarto for pennies on the dollar at Ross.

Invest in good shoes. Shoes make the outfit... The cheaper the shoes, usually the less durable and comfortable... However until you have grown into your size(about 14 yrs of age), shop for cute and comfy sneakers/ canvas skimmers/chinese slippers at cute yet cheap stores like payless or old navy. While inexpensive, they pack a cute punch and are usually very comfy. When you have grown into your size, you need just a couple pairs of shoes. Some canvas skimmers come with cherries on them, some with hearts and some with plaid. Uber cute!

A pair of comfortable everyday shoes that aren't sneakers, loafers or moccasins. These can be a pair of metallic leather ballet flats, a pair of pretty purple low wedges, or a pair of pony hair leopard print pointy toe flats. Look into funky neutrals for the pattern, or color such as metallics, a color you don't wear alot but adore, animal prints, polka dots, black snakeskin. Think of low wedges, ballet flats, 1 inch thin heels, and pointy toe flats. These should be comfortable enough to walk to school in, yet cute enough to wear with a flirty sundress. If you pick a shoe that makes a big statement, limit it to the shoe... Don't pair a leopard print flat with a leopard print purse or worse - a skin tight shirt, or a metallic flat with a sparly white eyeshadow or headband. Tacky much? Black is great in simple leather, since it can be changed to look like a new pair of shoes with shoe jewelry. Make sure these shoes are so fabulous you can be wearing an unimiginative outfit, and still look HOT!

# A pair of comfortable everyday leather knee high boots. They should zip up and flatter the calves. The should be either flats or 1 inch thin heels or low wedges. They can be a nice neutral like black, be wary of browns and tans because these colors can clash. Look at your skin color and hair color to assess whats perfect for you. Black works for most. But blondes that like to wear earthy browns and neutrals would carry of the earth natural hippie look well with camel colored boots. Make sure you can walk in snow and they are good for rain as well. While I said leather, you can look for very realistic faux leather lined with thinsulate from good brands such as enzo anglioni and nine west. Unlike the item above, it should not be a metallic/color/print/polka dot/special texture. It makes it less of a staple sadly. With this shoe use cheap jewelry from places like forever 21, or claires to sassy up outfits. It should be dressy enough to wear with a sweet little dainty dress in fall, but comfy too

# Have your signature jacket. Everyone has a jean jacket right? Well almost everyone atleast. This is a totally different animal. This is the jacket that you put on over a pair of navy bootcut jeans and a black vneck sweater and it becomes an outfit. It becomes you. Think of your interests... Are you a hopeless romantic that gushes over silks and velvets in victorian colors? Are you a rocker chick that's life anthem is "Highway to Hell"? What jacket speaks to you? What do you put with your boring basics, and it becomes your closet staple? What brings out you in this mass produced world? I suggest you scour for it in every single unknown boutique. Even if you are well off, I suggest to find your true love scour in vintage shops. Search for every single store you have never been to. Check every place out to find your jacket soulmate. It's pieces like this that sets your closet apart from the pack.

# Have clear skin. This is actually easier than you may think. Eat mostly fruits and veggies and some protein. These have vitamins that will flush your system and make your skin glow and be clear and lustrous. Drink lots of water. It's the cheapest beauty aid, make sure to have 6-8 tall glasses a day. Wash your face before you go to bed with a gentle cleanser such as cetaphil or spectro gel or dove soap. Drink two glasses of water before bed to have your body flush its system during the night. The night is a reparative time when your skin is awake. So if you have dry skin, moisturize with extra virgin olive oil found at costco, and use a mud pack/toothpaste on zits. Also, have a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, or ask your parents to cook with it. It makes your skin glow.

# Be on the look out for inexpensive jewelry that reflects your personality... Girly girl, what about a necklace with a diamante heart pendant in pink? Like to make jewelry, make something that makes you smile. Like sports? How about your favorite sports team's emblem on a pendant... Feel like a hippie? How about a hemp string or leather string with a wood pendant fashioned into a flower. Be creative, and most of all, have something that goes with everything and is so you... Worn day in and day out.

# Be hip to trends in expensive clothes. Go to websites such as You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and look at designers collections... If you find something you like and only if you really like it, look for it in malls. Make sure it is something that adds to pep to your classic sweater sets and tees, something like a necklace or hair clip... Whatever you do, before you buy make sure you really think it looks good on you. Also, look at ways that clothes are being worn, are brooches being affixed to a certain part of the jacket or dress? It is not neccessarily something you have to buy... Maybe you have a wool coat that hits at your mid thigh? Maybe wearing it with your knee high boots and a pair of translucent black tights with a pair of fishnets is what you can do, just like the model in the picture is being styled. Or wearing the wool coat just like that but with a bright maroon belt? Be creative... Also, don't go out and buy expensive things for that look, you may not have a pair of booties for the exact same look... So subsitute shoes and colors and certain things for your own version. Its cooler too.

# Become a wiz with a needle and thread. Do you have something that you used to love, but now don't like it for that very purpose. Something that is too heavily patterned for your taste, can be cut and turned into a scarf, which can be worn as a belt. Something that is too blah, can be given extra texture with wearing with more colorful clothes, or can use a ribbon a touch darker for a signature look. Go to a fabric store and scour the reduced section for extra things. I found a fabric with a medallion print reminiscint of Juicy Couture's emblem. Affixed to the butt pockets of a mini or a pair of jeans it would be a cool signature look. Sewn into a pin, it can be added to a blazer lapel, collar or breast pocket or even the front of your purse. Be creative. An old pair of canvas skimmers in basic colors can be sassed up with a ribbon or shoe jewelry. If you have an old tshirt that you have grown out of, but love a detail in it, cut it out and hem the edges... You can sew it onto a simple white or black tank/tee to add detail. More often than not, it is looking more expensive and no one will probably have it. You can buy tees and tanks real cheap by the bundle, so that 3 dollar tee/tank can look 30 dollars later. Adding contrast stitching by stitching a color obviously darker or lighter on clothing to create a unique look, it is also the cheapest way to rejuvenate a pair of 3 yr old jeans or tees.

# Have good hair. It really doesn't matter whether you wear it straight, bobbed, wavy or curled. If it has some volume on top, isn't too oily, doesn't have dandruff and the color, cut looks good on you and accentuates your face shape and is smooth... - its fabulous. Doesn't have to be an 'in' color or cut... It should be shiny, but not oily. Washing your hair every 2 or 3 days is a good idea because it keeps your hair smooth and shiny, and overwashing your hair makes it produce even more oil, causing dandruff and flat hair. Use a boar bristle brush as opposed to nylon or gosh forbid, metal. If you have curly, wavy hairstyle, detangle and style with a wide toothed comb. They detangle with little pain. To cheaply moisturize your ends, use some veggie oil sparingly.

  14. Use lipgloss and lipbalm. If you have gorgeous skin & hair, and a gorgeous outfit, nothing will ruin it faster than chapped or dry lips. Lip balm with SPF is a must, even for the makeup eschewing crowd. Lip gloss adds sparkle and shine and makes lips look juicy and inviting. Lets face it, Juicy Couture sweats are mostly unflattering, but they look awesome on polished faces and hair. A light pink or red tint adds more. It is just the icing on the cake. Its one of the cheapest things to do to refresh your look.

Tips:

    * Did you find a pair of shoes or a purse that is a great deal, (75% to 90% off) but your parents can't foot the bill? Ask them if you can have it for your birthday/x-mas/religious holiday with gifts... If it is still unaffordable, ask them if you can pay for half/one-quarter/three-quarters of the item by doing chores, working without the knowledge of your friends and then they can pay for the rest of it and give it for your birthday. Take advantage of layaway to keep it away until you have the money to take advantage of the sale.
    * Always look for signs in the store that say clearance before sale.
    * Shop with a calculator to see how much you are saving.
    * Before shopping with your friends, look for coupons in sunday circulars.
    * wash all your clothes insideout. It cleans it just fine, but keeps the color alive.
    * If you do your own laundry, use a little less than the reccomended amount of detergent.
    * For basics such as jeans and t-shirts, check out places such as old navy or (gasp)Walmart. Just make sure they fit properly and no one will tell them from rock and republics
    * Before going shopping at shopping cities such as NY, or LA, check out which stores will give the best deals on stuff you want... Last Chance and Loehmanns in LA are fantastic, as are Century 21 and Daffy's in NY. Earn some money before going there, so if you find a great deal and your parents say no, you can buy it yourself, same goes for outlets.
    * Designer clothes aren't a neccessity to look fashionable and super hot and rich. If it looks nice that's all you really need. If you can afford some designer items try to make sure it is stuff you use alot, like purses or shoes. You can find similar styles at places such as old navy and similar jewelry at places such as forever 21. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars to loook like a million.

Warning:

    * Girls will get jealous!
    * Don't tan under the sun! Doing that will cause you to get skin cancer. Instead, wear the expensive full body spray-on fake tan from the tanning salon. This way you can be tanned, without having the risk of skin cancer.
    * This won't neccessarily make you popular. It might make people not like you, and will definitely make some people mad. You may have no friends. People may admire you, but never show it to your face.
