Wall Street extends gains after housing data
      

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks added to gains on Tuesday, and the Nasdaq jumped more than 1 percent, after a report showed an unexpected rise in April new home sales, overshadowing data that showed consumer confidence plunged to a 16-year low in May.
