I gave up on my teapot and invested about $20 on this setup, I tried to pack the 1/4 inch tube on the teapot with BB's but they were to restrictive and the teapot wouldnt hold pressure. Hopefully this is producing higher grade ethanol than the teapot. The column is copper tubing that is used for splicing half inch tubing. I'm not sure on the diameter but is a little over half inch. The column is packed with copper scrubbing pad that was twisted and pushed in the tube. The pot is an item from walmart that i also use for steam injection on my car. I will test this later to see if it is high enough proof to burn.
