Aspirin: The Wonder Drug (or Miracle Drug)?
      

Despite aspirinââ,¬â,,¢s long historyââ,¬â€having been first synthesized in 1853 and first prescribed in 1899ââ,¬â€scientists continue to study and learn new information about this wonder drug. If a drug as widely available as aspirin and with as few side effects can prevent breast cancer in high-risk women, potentially saving tens of thousands of lives, then perhaps "wonder" should be changed to "miracle."
