Mattel second-quarter profit tops view; shares up

Reuters - Toymaker Mattel Inc  posted
better-than-expected quarterly profit on Friday as higher sales
of products from the movies "Speed Racer" and "Kung Fu Panda"
offset a dip in demand for Barbie dolls and higher costs,
sending its shares up 13.5 percent.
