            Ethnic Kukisin Burma staged a demonstration on 5.3.2007. Demanding a halt to the war and a ban on the use of landmines, in their fellow Kuki populated areas in Manipur, northeast state of India The protesters claimed that Kuki were being killed by land mines planted by the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), the separatist Manipuri rebels. Kuki have become victims of the war raging between UNLF and Indian security forces.
