Jobless claims buoyed by car strike
      

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of U.S. workers applying for first-time unemployment benefits jumped 22,000 last week, partly due to an auto workers strike, while the number of jobless staying on aid rolls rose to the highest in three and a half years.
