Sovereign Bancorp replaces CEO, shares surge
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sovereign Bancorp Inc , the largest remaining U.S. savings and loan, has hired Paul Perrault as chief executive, replacing Joseph Campanelli, who had held the job less than two years.
