Bernard smashes world 100 freestyle record
EINDHOVEN, Netherlands (Reuters) - Frenchman Alain Bernard snatched the 100 meters freestyle world record from Olympic champion Pieter van den Hoogenband in the Dutchman's home pool at the European swimming championships on Friday.
