NEW YORK (Reuters) - American International Group Inc  is in talks with the U.S. government to restructure the troubled insurer's credit facility, which could lead to the government buying AIG preferred shares worth several billion dollars, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday.</p><div class="feedflare">
