Home Loan Banks cleared to lift mortgage holdings
      

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Home Loan Bank system will be permitted to expand their holdings of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac securities by more than $100 billion under a plan endorsed by their regulator on Monday.
