Matthew: Bri?

Brianna: Yeah, Hun?

Matthew: Can you give me a kiss?

Brianna: Why?

Matthew: I want you to be my first kiss, that's why.

Brianna: *laughs; gives him a peck on the lips* There you go.

Matthew: Woah!

Holly [The Orphanage's Super Attendant/Runner Of The Orphanage]: Matthew, you're being adopted!! *happy*

Matthew: WHAT?! *on the verge of tears*

Holly: C'mon, go pack your bags.

Matthew: I DON'T WANNA LEAVE!!!!!!! *crying* I WANNA STAY!!!!!!

Holly: I'm sorry, but you have to leave now.

Brianna: Matt, honey, sweetie, we'll see each other again. Trust me.

Matthew: Ok. *leaves; not wanting to go*

Melanie [Brianna's Sister]: Where's Matty going?

Brianna: *kneels to eye level* Hunny, I don't know how to say this, but he's adopted now, so he has to leave, and live with his new family.

Brianna's P.O.V.
I hate to tell her, her best friend's leaving Sam's Creek Orphanage. I'm tired of doing that, the sooner we get out of here the better.

Melanie: *crying* NO, NO, HE CAN'T BE LEAVING!!!!!!!

Brianna: I'm sorry. *hugs her tight* With The Cyrus'
Braison: Dad?

Billy-Ray: Yeah?

Braison: Can we go to town tomorrow?

Billy-Ray: Yeah, we can. Back With Brianna and Her Sister

Andrew [Brianna's Brother]: What's wrong with her?

Brianna: Matthew was adopted. *holding Melanie in her lap*

Kaden & Kailey: *walks up* We heard.

Brianna: Mel, why don't you go play with Kailey? *hopeful*

Melanie: No.

Brianna: Pwease? *puppy dog face* For me?

Melanie: Fine. *gets up* C'mon, Kailey! *runs off*

Kailey: *looks for Kaden's approval*

Kaden: Go. *points*

Kailey: Ok. *runs off after Melanie*

Kaden: You ok, Bri. *sits down next to her*

Brianna: Fine as I'll every be. It's just I mean, he asked me to kiss him.

Kaden: Well, did you, you know, kiss him?

Brianna: Yeah, he's was just so sweet about it. He wanted me to be his first kiss. *shyly smiles*

Kaden: *hugs her* It'll be ok.

Jason: *walks in* What's going on? Where's Matthew?! {A/n Matthews Jason's cousin}

Brianna: Jason, sit down, and I'll tell you.

Jason: *sits down* Now tell me!

Brianna: He was ad- adopted. *scared of his reaction*

Jason: *starts crying*

Brianna: *gets up and walks over and sits down and hugs him*

Jason: Ho-w ca-n h-e b-e a-dop-te-d, wi-th-ou-t m-e? {How can he be adopted without me?}

Brianna: You'll be ok. *trying not to cry*

Jason: W-hy ar-e-n't y-ou c-r-y-in-g {Why aren't you crying?}

Brianna: *can't talk; starts crying really hard*
