NEW YORK (Reuters) - Meredith Whitney, the banking analyst who became famous by correctly predicting much of the sector's carnage, as well as a Citigroup Inc  dividend cut and capital raising, has resigned from Oppenheimer &amp; Co to start her own firm.<div class="feedflare">
