I haven't seen a way to disable the admin confirms.  I don't know if Vista would let you, since it is a big part of the security.  Trying to make it more like linux, so a lot of things(like certain viruses) can't run without your permission.

And I really hate people saying Vista sucks because the truth is, XP was worse when it first came out.  Since then there have been hundreds of updates and then there are the service packs, and so on.  Vista is brand new, so compatibility is going to suck for a little while.  But everyone MUST understand.  Microsoft makes Vista.  Unless you get a Mac, you are going to be using Vista.  That is just how it works.

Every PC runs on MS operating system, so I say just get used to it and wait for updates.  Eventually everything will work in Vista as it does in XP.  Pretty soon trying to keep up with XP will be pointless.  In fact, I want to say that relatively soon MS will stop XP updates, as they are forcing Vista.

Well, Nero has a lot of problems, you can try 'Infrarecorder'.  It is a free burning program that is pretty simple.  It should be able to help you, but I have not tried it on Vista yet...  Undecided

Also Vista is supposed to come with DVD and CD burning utilities, but I have not seen them, nor have I tried them.  I haven't even really seen reviews, just MS listing them as a feature.

well, ironicly I seem to be the most optimistic about Vista here, but no, I am no longer using Vista.  I tried it as beta(twice), and then later again after its release.  Then I tried it on my laptop(b/c it was messing up badly and rather than restore it with the disc, I just upgraded to Vista).  But my laptop wasn't fast enough.

So basically, I am not using Vista b/c I don't have a computer that will handle Vista well enough.  I will get a new computer probably soon after new years, and then I will probably be getting a dual-core processor, so I will definitely run Vista then.

But you can look at Infrarecorder.  It is decent, considering it is free.  It is pretty basic though.  But I want to say there is a copy disc button.

I haven't personally gotten to test it yet.  The newest version is Vista compatible though.
