Hey, first of all, this is NOT a review.  I haven't tryed it.

But if you are someone who has tryed Windows Vista, please let me know the pros and cons.  I just want to have an unbiased opinion before I get it(cus it's a mega dload of 4.4 gigs).

So please reply ifyou have tryed Windows Vista and wouldn't mind reviewing it here for me.

Vista isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.  Compared to XP, it is indeed better, but unlike XP, it is very demanding.

To run Vista, you will need a good computer.  Not an ok computer or a decent one.  It will need to be pretty good.

You can read the requirements here: You are not allowed to view links.

I would recommend you do NOT run on anything less than 1 Gb RAM and your processor should be at least 2.0 Ghz(preferable a dual-core processor).  With most newer computers HD space isn't too much of a problem.  Vista does take up more space, but if you have a 100+ Gb HD, it shouldn't matter.

If you are already using XP and have a good enough computer, get Vista.  There are things in Vista that are very helpful, such as the networking.  I work on wireless networks a lot and Vista has been the easiest thing to work with.

Also the updates are very helpful as well, since you can get Windows updates and updates to softare and drivers for your computer as well as some bonuses.

You might get a bit tired of a lot of the messages and alerts, since Vista has a new admin user system.  You have to grant permission for certain things to run, kind of like Linux(if you have ever used Linux).

But overall I will give Vista a 8/10.

It is a good operating system and does make using the computer easier(unless you are a novice).

VISTA is a good more stable operating system than xp or any other window
its the best but it also got some troubles such as
Once i bought my new pc a month ago  it got vista on it i installed nero burner suddenly an error occured and Blue screen of death started to appear
this is the first time i format my pc and restore
second time after a week  i tried another dvd writer Alcohl120 same thing happened that is after i installed my programs and restored my documents and mp3s
third time when vista crashed was after few days when i tried to install xp in addition to vista
moreover which made me go mad is that i dont have my pc hardwarez drivers and i really need to switch to other OS than vista linux or xp but i want an easy way to get the drivers of the laptop's hardware [ my pc didnt come only with restoration disk]

few bad stuff in vista is that you cant record stereo mix or line in inputs [although i found a bad substitute i already posted on this board]
another is the admin confirmations which you talked about here do u know how to disable them ?
The program which i install will not hack or damage my pc but Windows will hack and damage its self
