            At 6pm on Valentines Day, around one hundred people appeared near the fountain at City Park in front of Horton Plaza. Passerby's including couples and shoppers thought nothing of this sudden gathering. Until a battle cry was heard and a lone man ran into the crowd and began swinging a feather stuffed pillow. The crowd erupted in a near riot of pillowfighters and onlookers that traveled several blocks and lasted for over an hour.

LilliaVila.com and Couchsurfing.com arranged it.
The San Diego Cacophony society that planned a pillow fight later on in the month joined in.
Lady Stardust made an appearance.
NBC lazily shot some footage of it. (Since it was next to their studio)
Kamele collected and edited the video.
WeAreAroundYou.com says there will be more.
There were no serious injuries (just a twisted ankle and a couple slight headaches)
There were no arrests (the fuzz seemed mildly entertained by the shenanigans)
Several Zombies were sighted on 5th Ave toward the end of the fight.

The next pillow fight is at the same location on April 4th, 2009.
