The BMW Museum: Newly Configured
      

Okay, it's not the Louvre in Paris, but it's arguably one of Europe's most popular museum destinations.

Located in Munich, Germany, next to the 1972 Olympic Village, the BMW Museum is one of the largest car museums in the world and a building that has sported unique architecture since it's inception in 1973. The mushroom-like facility expanded last year to include an additional 53,000 sq. ft. and can now house 125 exhibits.

The museum, which of course concentrates on cars but which in reality reflects the evolution of modern society, engineering, design, and technological change, has expectations of some 400,000 visitors this year over the 150,000 which visited the previous facility.
