There are TWO types. hard, which is the normal stuff and soft. I think it's the latter used for hard surfaces as ceilings! The hard stuff!! is used for anchoring thread, cards to cards etc.
Ashes on The Arm is best done with Ash Pen trick (from JB magic), Costs £16 but you have a supply for several hundred performances. There is also a method given to make it appear on a spectators hand (NO stooges)
There is a recent improved version with I think, a dvd, but i can't remember its title.
Then, if you want the real stuff, there's 'Stigmata' when it appears in 'blood'
As kids we all used soap to create the 'invisible' image. This is found in 'Every Boy's Magic Book.' I first came across it in the Magic Section of ' 101 Things A Boy Can Make' ;a book, published by Foulsham, bought for me by an aunt in 1943. Just a year after I took up conjuring.
