NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Nasdaq stock index rose more than 1 percent while the S&amp;P 500 turned positive in choppy trade on Tuesday, with a slide in materials stocks offset by a recovery in technology shares after Monday's sell-off.<div class="feedflare">
