BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Almost 90 percent of the tens of thousands of U.S.-backed fighters who helped purge much of Iraq of al Qaeda have been transferred to Iraqi control, the U.S. commander in charge of their program said Saturday.<div class="feedflare">
