Are we now too speedy for our own good?
      

Has Reuters abandoned the principle that it is better to be accurate than first with the news? Not so, replies political editor, Sean Maguire, despite recent examples where we republished stories by other news organisation that proved to be inaccurate. Our policy on such occasions reflects the changing nature of the news business.
