Yamsin And Stroke Symptoms
There are several potential side effects of Yasmin stroke, including partial or full paralysis, vision problems, memory loss, and mood swings. Many people also suffer a condition known as aphasia. This is a language disorder caused by injury or damage to the left hemisphere of the brain. This is the area that controls language-related functions, such as speech, comprehension, and reading.
Brain damage can occur due to a Yasmin stroke. The arteries supplying blood and oxygen to the brain tissue become blocked by blood clots. The blockage causes the tissue to starve. Within minutes, the cells begin to die, triggering a set of unpredictable side effects, which can include aphasia. Below,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, we'll describe some of the most common symptoms of aphasia, and explain how the condition is addressed.
Common Symptoms Of Stroke-Induced Aphasia
There are three main types of aphasia: Broca's, Wernicke's, and Global. Each type poses a different set of symptoms; some may overlap.
Broca's aphasia affects speech. This version of the disorder affects the survivor's ability to form sentences. As a result, they will often use short,You are not allowed to view links. Because this abbreviated form of expression can be confusing for the listener, those who suffer from this type of language impairment often become frustrated.
Wernicke's aphasia also affects speech, but in a different manner than Broca's aphasia. People with this impairment will often construct sentences that are unintelligible. For example, a Yasmin stroke survivor might say, "The smickle in my shirt lay beneath the egg in the doodle" while meaning, "I'm going to watch television." The survivor is unaware that the words or phrases used are incomprehensible. He or she believes they are easily understood. This, of course, causes frustration when the listener asks for clarification.
Global aphasia is the result of severe brain damage to the language areas of the brain. This form of the disorder includes symptoms associated with both Broca's and Wernicke's aphasia. Yasmin stroke survivors who suffer from global aphasia are often unable to speak, or comprehend the speech of others.
Therapy And Long-Term Rehabilitation
If blood supply to the affected area of the brain is restored quickly enough, symptoms related to aphasia may dissipate within the first few weeks. Unfortunately,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, treatment for Yasmin blood clots in the brain is often administered after a significant amount of time has passed. In such cases, brain damage may be extensive. This makes therapy for aphasia necessary, and language recovery slow and limited.
There are three goals for therapy and rehabilitation. First, therapists will encourage you to communicate with any residual speech abilities. Second, they will help you recover lost speech-related function. Third, therapy will focus on helping you devise alternative methods to communicate for any lost function that cannot be restored.
Therapy and rehabilitation usually come in multiple forms, depending on the type of aphasia and its accompanying symptoms. For example, survivors may receive therapy to help them identify emotional tonality in the speech of others. This aids their comprehension. Other types of therapy focus on the semantic components of language. Group therapy is also recommended to help survivors strengthen their communication skills.
Throughout this period, family members are strongly encouraged to take an active role in helping the Yasmin stroke survivor recover lost language abilities. This includes using short phrases during conversations, adding gestures and facial expressions, and eliminating distractions.
Women who suffer a Yasmin stroke may experience a wide range of possible side effects. Aphasia seems relatively benign when compared to partial paralysis, vision difficulties, and memory loss. However, depending on its severity, it can be extremely frustrating and leave a lasting impact on the survivor's life.
