The Power Of A Vision  Tony L Stone
In today’s society much is made of one finding ones purpose. Knowing just what it is that one is called to do or created to do is one of, if not the most essential components to successful living today. However, purpose can and will fall short lest it is pursued by the direction of a vision.
What does it mean to have a vision?
Webster’s dictionary defines “vision” as “The power of seeing; something supposedly seen in a dream; a mental image, a vision of power; the ability to foresee or perceive something, as through mental acuteness.”
Those are some pretty distinct definitions there and what we can learn from it is that vision brings about empowerment. To have a vision is being able to see the end from the beginning. The bible speaks expressedly about vision and how it can help you be empowered to run toward your destiny.
Habakkuk 2: 2-3 says “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.”
For years we have been instructed to write our vision out, make a vision statement. And you may have wondered what is in writing out a vision statement. The answer is found in 6000 year old scripture; before there were self-help gurus, motivational speakers and life coaches, the bible has taught us the power of a vision.

You have to remember that whatever is visual is impressionable. The power of a vision contributes to what you allow to influence your life. You may ask,You are not allowed to view links.   Once again, let us look to bible scripture for the answer.
Proverbs 29:18…”Where there is no vision the people perish” KJV
The word “perish” translated from the Hebrew text means, “to cast off restraint, to go about aimlessly.”
When you lack vision for your life, you will go about aimlessly, never quite getting a full understanding of purpose or having clarity of direction.
