How to make a masonry feature wall
Feature walls are made of materials like masonry, brickwork, resin coatings, timber, concrete and gypsum. This can be built up during construction of the house mostly concrete, timber, brickwork and masonry or cladded. For other types they are normally cladding's on finished walls.   After the feature masonry wall is complete, rake out the bonding horizontal joints. Use a rounded bar of a quarter inch for horizontal key pointing. Remove arising debris and make good floor joint if the wall had commenced from the floor. When this is done give a week and to allow curing. Paint clear vanish in Matt or gloss as desired. For a rustic finish don't varnish. The method can be repeated for brickwork, rustic tiles, rubble and grano materials.
