You know for a fact that as you grow, life becomes complicated. You have to teach him that. With proper love and care done at the proper time and place, it will all be perfect. Don’t be overly protective of him, for you might just suffocate him with your kind of love. Don’t make him walk away from you. Let him go and let him experience to grow on his own and he will always be there for you. Letting go is hard, it is painful but it is the only way to show that you believe.
I would take as an example of letting your child go and leave him in school. He might throw tantrums and cry out loud because he became too dependent on you. Allow him to experience a life of his own, as young as when he takes his first step. Let him play his own game. Let him do his own thing,You are not allowed to view links. Wait patiently when he plays at the playground or on that bouncy thing with nets, allow him to jump as high as he could. Make him experience life, for as long as you guide him and make him feel loved, nothing will go wrong. Let him go when he wants to join football and when he wants to go out with friends, as long as you set his limitations,You are not allowed to view links. All you have to do is keep on letting go, paintball is not something to fear about. Think about the paintball field, it is one enclosed area built to safely contain the game inside. What is there to worry about, when there is a bigger world outside that paintball field that soon he will conquer on his own. Those paintball gadgets and gears will protect him but not as much as you want to cuddle him and win the battle for him. Life doesn’t work that way. You never have to win his battles for him because reality tells us that life is a series of letting go’s.
The reality of life is you always have to let go and let grow. You can never be good at it because it is painful to let go of something that you thought was yours. Letting go is the last thing you would consider. But it is the only way to prepare yourself - you don’t own anything or anyone,You are not allowed to view links. Loving is not protecting him from all harm, it is teaching him to protect himself and preparing for that time when you can no longer be around for him. What is one small wound when it can make him a better person in the process?
