Putting an end to the four-day political stalemate in Goa  [ Images ], Governor S C Jamir on Tuesday convened the assembly session on Wednesday to give the Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition government a chance to prove its strength in the House.

The issue of tourism minister Mathany Saldhana is still hanging fire. While the minister has supported Parrikar, his United Goans Democratic Party has withdrawn support to the government.
The House will assemble at 1430 IST and take up the one-point agenda of the vote of confidence.
