VIDEO: Pothole halts electric car record bid  
     

The great-grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell's attempt to smash the UK land speed record for an electric car was ended by a pothole on a beach. Joe Wales veered off course and Bluebird Electric hit a pothole at Pendine Sands in Carmarthenshire.
