South Africa: Western Cape To Stop Motorcycle Lane-Splitting?

In the latter category falls Western Cape in South Africa (Cape Town et al). There the Member of the Executive Council (MEC), responsible for Transport and Public Works, Robin Carlisle, has decided that he's seen too many bikers die on his roads, most of them in between cars.<br><br>

According to Carlisle, motorcycle crashes increased by 33% from 63 crashes in 2008 to 84 in 2012. Of course he doesn't show the increase of motorcycle ownership during the same timeframe. Statistics, statistics and lies........... <br><br>
