Scion FR-S R/C Competition - FR-S Cup: Battle of the Media!

That's right; when Scion execs called us to attend their first ever FR-S r/c competition (hosted along with HPI racing), we knew we had to bring out the big guns, our very own JDM Wong, since he claimed to have all sorts of experience in r/c car racing. Throw in the mix our friends at Import Tuner, Motor Trend and DSport and we knew we had to make sure we took home a win. But we media folk were only a sideshow to a bigger deal, a full-blown competition featuring dozens of r/c enthusiasts from all over Southern California, who went head-to-head in several heats for prizes and bragging rights. Seoul Sausage, winners of the most recent 'Great Food Truck Race' on Food Network were on-hand to deliver their top dishes, including the infamous kalbi and spicy pork hot dogs and deep fried kimchi balls. During our embarrassing run group, JDM Wong led the first lap until he brilliantly broke an axle after colliding into a rail and putting us out of commission for the rest of the race. DSport walked away with the win but rest assured, we'll come back with a vengeance next time.
a
Photo Gallery: Scion FR-S R/C Competition - Super Street Magazine

Photo Gallery: Scion FR-S R/C Competition - Super Street Magazine

Scion FR-S R/C Competition - FR-S Cup: Battle of the Media! |
