Logging in to AIM®

To log in to AIM®, perform the following steps:

1.    Press the Menu key.

2.    Scroll to Internet, and then press the OK key.

3.    Scroll down using the keys to AOL® IM, and then press the OK key.

4.    At the AIM® screen, scroll down to Sign On, and then press the OK key.

5.    Type your screen name, and then press the OK key.

6.    Type your password, and then press the OK key.

Replying to a message

To reply to a message, perform the following steps:

1.    Select Quick Reply, and then press the QUICK/OK key to send a pre-defined message.

2.    Scroll down and select REPLY/OK to compose a new message.

3.    Write your message.

Text messaging authoring options

    * Press the key quickly to delete a character.
          o NOTE: Do not hold down the button too long or you will end your browser session.
    * To backspace, press the key.
    * To forward space, press the key.
    * To change capitalization, press the key.

Obtaining information on a buddy that sent you a message

    * If you are already using your browser, go to the Buddy List® screen, and you will see a star (*) next to the buddy who sent you the message. Select the buddy, and then press the VIEW/OK key.
    * If you are not using your browser when a new message arrives, launch the browser, and then select AOL® IM. Go to the Buddy List® screen, and you will see a star (*) next to the buddy who sent you the message. Select the buddy, and then press the VIEW/OK key.

Adding names to your Buddy List®

To add names to your Buddy List®, perform the following steps:

1.    Go to the Main/Buddy List® screen.

2.    Scroll to select Conversations.

3.    Press the Menu key.

4.    Select MENU, and then press the OK key.

5.    Scroll down to Add Name to Buddy List®, and then press the OK key.

6.    Enter the screen name of the buddy you wish to add, and then press the MENU/OK key.

7.    Select OK, and then press the OK key.

Accessing AOL® Mail

To access your AOL® Mail, perform the following steps:

1.    Press the Menu key.

2.    Scroll to Internet, and then press the OK key.

3.    Scroll down using the keys to Email, and then press the OK key.

4.    Select AOL Mail, and then press the OK key.

5.    Select Sign-In, and then press the OK key.

6.    Type your screen name, and then press the OK key.

7.    Type your password, and then press the OK key.

8.    Select Mail & Addresses, and then press the OK key.

Phone book options

To add phone book options, perform the following steps:

1.    Press the Menu key.

2.    Scroll to Phone Book, and then press the OK key.

3.    Select Personal Numbers to Find, Add, and Edit entries in your phone book.

4.    Select Voice Dialing to get to the phone book entry and make a call.

5.    Select One-Touch Dialing to set up the one-touch dialing feature.

Adding a menu option to the quick access menu

To add a menu option to the quick access menu, perform the following steps:

1.    Press the Menu key.

2.    Scroll to Settings, and then press the OK key.

3.    Scroll to Phone Setup, and the press the View Options key.

4.    Scroll to Quick Access Setup, and then press the Select key.

5.    Pick the menu option you wish to add. Press and hold the key representing the location where you want the menu option to be placed.

Using the quick access menu

To use the quick access menu, perform the following steps:

1.    At the main screen, press and hold down the Menu key until the quick access menu appears.

2.    Select the menu option by scrolling to the option and pressing the OK key, or press the key representing the menu option.
