Tolkien's beloved classic, earned almost $29.9 million over the weekend, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations. Starring Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellen as the wizard Gandalf, the film has raked in $190.3 million in the United States and Canada since its release three weeks ago.
