But in all seriousness, Audi introduced its Quattro Sport laserlight concept at CES this year and all the attention was on its headlights. Each headlight features two trapezoidal shaped lighting elements-the outer set houses the matrix LEDs and the inside contains the laser diodes, which Audi says are just a few microns in diameter. The lasers are intended for the high-beams lighting and are powerful enough to brighten up 1640-feet of the road ahead-that's twice the distance as LED high-beam lights!
