The Moto X and Moto G have been getting warm reception worldwide, with the Moto G named the "most successful and highest-selling smartphone" by Osterloch a couple of months ago.

By all accounts, the company looks to be on the right track. Motorola, which is about to become a part of Lenovo after Google sold it for $3 billion, doesn't intend to stop here. The company is preparing yet another affordable blockbuster called the Moto E. It's rumored to be even more affordable than the Moto G.

Leaked specs of the Moto E include a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in memory. The latter will likely be further expandable, while the phone measures only 6.2mm thick and features a 4.3" display.

In its most recent financial report by Google it becomes clear that if Motorola was being reported as an operating segment of Google, it would've brought in $1.45 billion in revenue. That's up from the $1.02 billion from the same period of 2013. However it likely posted an operating loss in Q1 2014, as it did in Q1 2013 even though that wasn't specifically confirmed.

The Moto G features a 4.5" 720p screen, 8GB of internal storage, a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat as well as a 5-megapixel camera. Buyers can enjoy those mid-range specs for a low-end price of $180 in the US or £100 in the UK. No wonder then, that the phone managed to give the company a boost in Great Britain, bringing it to 6% market share there.
