Windows NT Task Manager introduced in Windows 4.x makes it easier to find out how your computer is doing -- how much of its CPU is being used and how much memory is available at a given point in time.

Right click on the time display on the taskbar.

Select "Task Manager..."

Change to the "Performance" tab
