This is set to become the successor to the MX3 that was released last year.

Back in July we saw the MX4's front panel getting leaked, but today we have something even better, as you can see - an actual image showing the Meizu MX4 doing its thing somewhere in the wild.

It's pretty obvious where the MX4 got its design cues from (hint: Cupertino, California). It's also interesting to note how similar it looks to the recently unveiled Xiaomi Mi 4, which also got accused of aping Apple's design philosophy.

This photo is said to depict the 'standard version' of the MX4, as apparently there will be a high-end one alongside that. This standard model should come with the ultra-narrow bezels you have undoubtedly noticed, and an easily removable back cover.

It will have 1,800x1,080 screen resolution, and it is going to be powered by a MediaTek MT6595 chipset. This can include a big.LITTLE CPU with four Cortex-A17 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at up to 1.7 GHz.

There will be no fingerprint sensor in the base model, though the premium one may get that. The more expensive variation of the MX4 shall also sport a Samsung Exynos 5430 chipset (which was just announced today), and 2,560x1,536 screen resolution.

Both iterations are rumored to come with 3GB of RAM and they will run Meizu's Flyme OS 4.0, which is based on Android. And they should both become official early next month reportedly.
