The duo of entry-level devices is aimed at first-time smartphone buyers with a starting price tag of $99.



Already available for sale, both smartphones offer MediaTek MT6582 SoC with 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, Mali 400MP2 GPU, and 512MB of RAM. Built-in memory is 4GB and can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.



Dual-SIM functionality is also present in both devices. Unsurprisingly, their network connectivity tops out at 21Mbps HSDPA.

Archos 50b Platinum is the slightly more capable device from the bunch. It offers 5" qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display and 8MP camera, capable of capturing 1080p video, and 1900mAh battery. The 50b Platinum is priced at $119 unlocked.

Archos 45c Platinum on the other hand, pack a 4.5" FWVGA IPS display. A 5MP camera with 1080p video capture and 1700mAh battery complete the highlights in tis spec sheet. The device costs $99 unlocked, free of carrier commitment....</p>
