This device is said to be nothing more than a One (M8) with a 13 MP Duo Camera on its rear. The 'vanilla' M8 has a 4 MP camera, in the now famous Duo configuration which features a depth sensor alongside the main lens.

That depth sensing ability shouldn't be lost in the M8 Eye, but HTC seems prepared to finally let is much-loved UltraPixels go. These are the main feature of its otherwise low-res camera on the One (M8), as the company has long believed that bigger pixels equal better pictures. But now it looks set to put all of that aside for a 'normal' 13 MP sensor on this M8 Eye.

The new handset will apparently launch running Android 4.4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 on top. A previous leak on the matter did however claim that the Eye would have a 5.2-inch touchscreen, bigger than the One (M8)'s 5-inch panel (though keeping the same 1080p resolution). Even if the display size is still unclear, everything else about the M8 Eye should be identical to the One (M8).
