UN taking Al Qaeda threats in Lebanon very seriously


UNIFIL Spokeswoman Yasmina Bouziane said that this is not the first time Islamic extremists threaten the peacekeeping troops, referring to the recent declaration of Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the Al-Qaeda number two, that Lebanon will play a pivotal role in the Islamists' fight against the "crusaders and Jews," a reference to Israel and the UNIFIL troops in South Lebanon.
