How to Raise a dog tutorial from age of 1 month till he dies

Hello Dear Friends !

I just bought a dog today (Named Scott , a pitbull) and I would like to make him a guard dog for my house !!! All your suggestions and experiences will be highly appreciated !

ok from my long past experience from dogs
i can say this is the best time to get the most from your dog

At this young age you will need to make sure the safly of ur pup

Check electrical cables they are all covered with insulation cuz dogs like to smell everything
Also i guess your having it inside ur villa this means u should close with a net or any other barrier any stairs because he still dont kow how to get down the  stair
got ur garden it should be closed 100% this means any holes leading outside the house will get enemies for ur dog or ur dog might run away for this reason put nets on your gate (the metal nets are perfect
also put this sort of net near any pool ifu may have it

There are many types of beds like wicker baskets, plastic beds or bean bags
MY WARNING DONT BUY ANY OF THESE NOW
dogs this age got there teeth growing so he will chew and eat it
try putting cardboard box put in it blanket or old jumper
it should be nice or warm so that the dog loves sleeping in it else your going to face troubles
also now make it on his size dogs love warm small place to siton

Clean the bed everytime you shower ur dog
Put the bed in a secluded draught free part of the house
if i were u i would put it in the room where you spend most of ur time
Many people place it in kitchen or living room

there are many types of leads nylon chain leather each got good points but what is best for a gaurd dog is leather or a chain(although its heavy)
get it on a rewinding spool as you can extend the rope more than 8 meters
This will set your dog free to move

This part you should buy it expensive

Always keep the collar on although the lead isnt a must so that ur dog gets accustomed to it

dont fasten the collar too tight it should have a space of 2 or 3  fingers between it and the dogs neck in the house and make it a bit tighter outside your villa
chains are a bad idea for a puppy cuz they might kill them

Always be gentle with him
Never tease him he will hate you and will be aggressive  against you especially at this young age
don't take advantage of his kindness , Don't startle the dog
You must love him
Through the past 10 years I have never been attacked by any dogs cuz I am friendly with them dogs are smart they know who really loves them and who don't
Speak as much as possible with your dog, it may look stupid at the beginning but its not it will really help him know you more and you will find a difference later on

Playing and exercise Be his Boss, but don't make him your slave
you must exercise him a lot in his life so that he don't get obese but before 12 months don't over exercise him
Dogs love walking but adores jugging .  Remember don't take him in the walk toward aggressive dogs this does not mean big dogs small dogs in size can be more aggressive than big ones
Dogs in nature hate being a friend of the same sex so its easier to expose him to the opposite sex

Dogs favorite toys are slippers slippers so get him good toy that he can chew like the bone like toys are perfect and ur dog will love them especially at the stage of growing teeth
Footballs are great for him and are very safe
Don't get him toxic toys or can be torn it got pieces that can be swallowed , get them in an un-swallowable size Dont get sharp edges
When playing with him Make him win 4/5 of the times you should build him great self esteem as a guard dog but keep making the games harder and harder (later on i will post about games dogs love)

Keep him a transportation box to move him and a net to place him in your trunk and make him get used to it

Now next part is what is most important for you now which is teaching him use the toilet

To teach him to use the toilet its very easy if u do it as i am telling u
Put him in a room all got newspapers on the floor when he do it on it thats great start from time to time decreasing the newspapers area
when u make sure that he learned to do it on it put him newspaper outside the house in addition to the one inside and make him used to making it out then one day remove it from inside the house and he should go to the next check point located outside the house
Usually even if u remove the dirty newspapers dogs can still smell there they did it before so if u keep just a small dirty newspaper it will be a sign for ur dog for future reference to do it on it

Dont expect a gaurd dog if u dont spend sometime with him in the next month and train him good training
