If you cannot connect to your cPanel or WebMail because your firewall (generally at work) is blocking the ports needed (2083 and 2096), there is a possible way around it. The 'cPanelProxy' script attempts to let you use standard port 80 for connections to cpanel and WebMail. We do not guarantee this, as it is not software we developed. But if your IT department won't open those ports for you, this may be a solution. The instructions are as follows:

Here is the link to download cPanelProxy: You are not allowed to view links.

Instructions:
(Note: wherever you see 'domain.com' please substitute your own domain name)

1) Go into your cPanel from a computer not behind the firewall.

2) Go to 'Domains' - 'Subdomains' and create:

cpanel.domain.com (for cpanel access)
webmail.domain.com (for WebMail access)

3) Download the cPanelProxy zip file (see link above) and unpack it on your computer.

4) Using an FTP program, transfer all 4 files in the archive in ASCII mode to the following folder(s):

public_html/cpanel (for cpanel)
public_html/webmail (for webmail)

5) In your browser you should now be able to go to:

cpanel.domain.com
webmail.domain.com

Note: SSL is not supported in cPanelProxy so the connections will not be encrypted.
