Zumba is a workout created by the dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez.  It has been around since the 1990's,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, and is a mixture of Latin and contemporary hip hop dance moves.
The aim of the class is to increase the heart rate of those that are in attendance, while also creating a fun exercising environment that encourages participants.  Instructors of Zumba must be licensed, and it is offered in many different areas and gyms worldwide.
The class has grown to be included in over 60,000 different fitness centers in one hundred and fifty different countries.  It originated in Colombia, and is a mixture of many different dance styles.
Zumba is a mixture of meringue, foxtrot, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, belly dance, waltz, flamenco, tango, and samba rhythms.  Classes have even been created for children, called Zumbatomic, and teach coordination, discipline, and teamwork.
Dancers of any level are encouraged to participate.  There are designated moves and workouts that are repeated and interchanged into new and exciting exercises.
There are a few different types of classes,You are not allowed to view links. Be sure to show up about ten minutes early so that you can find a good area to dance in where you will be able to see your instructor.  Most classes get full very quickly, so saving spots for other friends can be difficult.
If you are hoping to bring others with you, carpool together so that you can warm up and work out in a group.  If you bring friends with you to class, you are more likely to make time for it and attend frequently.
Make it a goal to attend at least one class a week, and make email or call lists to remind each other.  You could even create a schedule, complete with organizations of rides and transportation.
Though you will warm up and stretch in your class, do your own personal preparation beforehand.  Walk on a treadmill for five to ten minutes or use an elliptical to limber up your muscles.
Then, stretch out your core and limbs.  Be sure to focus on your neck, back, arms, and legs.
Warm up your ankle joints by rolling your feet in circles and pointing and flexing them.  Be sure to stretch all areas of the legs, including the calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluts.
By doing this ahead of time, you will be prepared to increase your heart rate and enjoy your class without injuring yourself or straining any muscles.  You should also be careful of what you wear to your Zumba class.
Be sure to outfit yourself with workout clothing that you can move around in.  Baggy pants and t-shirts will just get in the way and inhibit your movement.
Try to wear more form fitting clothing, like spandex or stretchy cotton that will be breathable and keep you cool.  Clothing that leaves you too bare or shows too much skin is not a good idea.
You will only feel uncomfortable if you are not properly covered up, and you will not be able to get the most out of your workout.  It may also be distracting to the other members of the class.
It is also a good idea to invest in a comfortable pair of dance sneakers or walking shoes.  Regular shoes designed for running may be too large and heavy for this type of workout.
Visit your local dance outfitters or sporting goods store and ask advice on the type of shoe that you should use for exercise.  There are a plethora of different options, but you should focus on ones with light and thin soles that fit closely to the foot.
During Zumba,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, you are sure to burn a lot of calories and work your body to its limit.  Be sure to hydrate and care for your system.
You should drink plenty of water before, during, and after your work out.  If you feel thirsty, do not ignore it.
Keeping your body hydrated will help flush out any impurities or oxidants in your system and will help you stay strong and energized.  Find the nearest Zumba class and take advantage of all of the fun and exercise it will bring into your daily routine!
