Futures rise on deal news, Wal-Mart outlook
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock futures rose on Thursday as news of an $18.8 billion dollar proposed takeover in the chemicals sector and an increased profit outlook from Wal-Mart Stores Inc boosted optimism a day after the S&P 500 slid into a bear market.
