O'Keefe announces Ireland squad BreakingNews.ie
John O'Keefe has announced his panel for the forthcoming International Rules Test Series against Australia on October 24 and 31.
The 27 strong squad features a total of fifteen players who will be making their debuts in Australia.
These include Cork’s Colin Corkery, Brian Dooher of Tyrone and Armagh’s Stephen McDonnell.
Seventeen counties in all are represented with All-Ireland finalists Tyrone and Armagh both having three representatives each.
Laois and Cork also have three players each on the panel.
Kieran McGeeney and Sean Marty Lockhart are the only survivors from the 1998 series when the International Rules test games were revived after an eight-year lapse. The team will be captained by Graham Canty of Cork.
The first test will take place in the Subiaco Oval in Perth on Friday October 24 and the 43,000 capacity stadium is already sold out.
The second test will be in the MCG in Melbourne on Friday October 31 and another large attendance is expected in a stadium which can accommodate 80,prada trainers london (http://www.pradatrainers.org),000 people.
