Super GT race is very popular touring car race in Japan. Honda HSV-010 (Can I say HSV is 2nd gen of NSX?), Nissan GT-R, Lexus SC430, Toyota Corolla sedan, Subaru Legacy, Lexus IS, Porsche 911, Ferarri 430, Corvette, Aston Martin Vantage and more all take part in Super GT race now. Toyota Corolla sedan is familiar car in Japan and USA, which is also not expensive car, too. Super GT Corolla looks different than street Corolla car and it’s hard to find stock parts from Super GT Corolla. Nissan GT-R, Lexus SC and IS Super GT race car is also totally different from the street version. Some of Super GT race car drivers say Super GT race cars are almost like Formula car and need Formula car driving skill for driving Super GT race car. I saw the Super GT race cars a few times at the race track and Tokyo Auto Salon, and the position of the coilovers on Super GT race cars are almost same as Formula cars. Nissan GT-R Super GT race car has V8 NA (non-turbo) motor, which makes over 450hp; Corolla Super GT race car has V6 NA motor which make over 300hp; and Lexus IS Super GT race car has V8 NA motor which makes over 300hp. Their engine is different from the street version and Super GT Corolla and Lexus IS has its engine on the rear, that is mid-ship rear wheel drive configuration, which is same layout as Toyota MR2.</p>
