Title: http:// is now optional
Post by: charleychacko on October 15, 2006, 01:01:45 PM
Unlike in the early days, you don't have to type http:// in front of a web site address anymore. In some cases, you don't even have to type the www. either.

For example, to go to http://www.Place.com/, you can just type www.Place.com (or Place.com) as the address. Most browsers will assume that you typed a WWW address.
