Sears profit slides, closes more stores

AP - Struggling retailer Sears Holdings Corp. said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit was cut in half as charges weighed down results and shoppers continued to avoid buying pricey appliances — keeping sales mired in their prolonged slump.
