Karl returns from London and walks straight into the furore surrounding Taylah and Zeke's attempts to deepen their relationship. Taylah's dad is called and Brad doesn't hesitate to ban Zeke from seeing his daughter. However, Zeke puts forward convincing arguments for why they should be allowed to continue dating and Karl concedes that he has a point. Susan maintains that Zeke is still too young to be in a physical relationship but Karl wisely points out that Zeke is more mature than they realise. Perhaps it's not Zeke that isn't ready: it's Karl and Susan.

Guilty Elle tells Oliver that she bought the alcohol that Declan took to Ringo's party. Oliver helps her to tell Rebecca who is predictably furious. She eventually comes to accept that Elle was trying to do the right thing but she can't get over Declan's continual deceit. A mothers' meeting with Susan and Miranda about how best to wrangle wayward teenagers leads her to ponder a new approach. Confronting Declan about his misbehaviour she tells him she's too tired to fight anymore and has no punishments left to administer. Will he use this opportunity to take responsibility for his own actions or is he going to see it as a free pass for more reckless behaviour?

Kirsten returns from Paris and heads straight to Number 22 to announce that she has ended her affair with Paul. However, to Elle's horror, Kirsten insists that she must now clear her conscience and confess everything to Rebecca. She insists that Rebecca deserves to know the truth. Desperate not to see her new family torn apart by her father's infidelity, Elle warns Kirsten to keep her mouth shut. But when Rebecca finds her old protégé back from holiday she's thrilled and warmly welcomes her in for coffee... will Kirsten spill the beans before Elle has the chance to make good on her threats?
