Campbell Soup Net Drops 15% on Ad Costs, Inventory Cuts
     

Beefed-up advertising costs, reductions in retailers’ inventory levels and the negative impact of the stronger dollar led Campbell Soup (CPB) to post a 15% drop in profit during the second quarter, though the company said it expects full-year earnings-per-share to come in at the high end of its estimated range.
