Watchdog says FAA, Southwest ties too close
      

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) oversight of Southwest Airlines Co  maintenance was so cozy the agency allowed the carrier to violate safety rules repeatedly for years, a government watchdog said on Thursday.
