This is my old horse Madison. she was a quarter/arab. 15.2 hh. 9 y/o. she was perfect when i got her on 12/31/08 she gave me the most amazing experience of my life and i really miss her. she was always getting absesses and eventually we took x-rays and she had developed navicular diesiese. we switched barns and got a farrier who spent a lot of time getting her theraputic shoes right and she walked out of the barn with barely any limp. i got on her a week later after a couple months of not riding her. she was perfect. gave no problems execpt we needed to get her head set and slow her down in the canter which u see in the vid. at the end she was completely PERFECT and we were planning on going to a show. then we had the vet come to look at her skin bc she had these weird patches and we think the vet overdosed her bc they gave her like 3 diff things and we though it was too much. the next day and on she gradually stoped eating. the vet siad "oh we're not worried". and the day came on august 24, 2008, when i went there and she wudnt stay on her feet. it was horrible. we stayed there waiting fer the vet late at night and when my trainer and owner of the barn was talking to the vet on the phone madison had a sesure and i can not explain how horrible it is to watch. the vet got there and madison had a lot of reflex the vet said it had something to do with her small intestines. and she also found other problems like with her back and stuff. it was just BAD so then the vet said u can either pay 15 thousand dollars for surgery when i cant guarentee it will work or u get put her down and we made the choice to put her down bc 1. we dont have that money 2. she had other problems 3.i didnt want her to suffer 4. u could def tell she had nothing left to give.
so im happy thats she is healthy in heaven and i miss her sooooo much. oh and i broke my ankle 2 days after she died and i am still recovering from surgery and everything. hows that week fer ya?? so thanx fer reading and watching :]
